Police chase ended with a bullet-punctured tire. Three detained

During the pursuit an officer drew his service weapon and fired at the wheel of the fleeing car.

“He hit the rear wheel of the vehicle, but that did not stop the driver,” added press spokesman Richard Hrdina.

The vehicle eventually stopped a few hundred meters further on and police detained three people.

The driver himself, however, fled. A search for him is currently underway. According to the Aktu.cz agency, a police dog and a crime-scene technician were also at the scene; the technician, among other things, secured the spent cartridge casing.
