You police b*tch, a man insulted a policewoman during an intervention. He ended up at the sobering-up station and in handcuffs
© AKTU.cz Shortly before 9 p.m., patrols of the immigration police and PMJ had to be dispatched to Budějovická Street in Prague. After a conflict, one of the participants allegedly pulled out a meat cleaver. During a mutual scuffle, one man was injured. The other was injured during the police intervention when he shouted abusive language at the officers, refused to follow orders and physically threatened the responding police officers.
Patrols that arrived at the scene first had to orient themselves in a confusing situation. This was made more difficult by a man who, paradoxically, was himself reportedly threatened with a cleaver. He endangered the responding officers by waving his arms, insulted them harshly—especially the policewomen—and repeatedly tried to walk away from the scene.
Calming by his partner did not help either. The man continued to insult the police and did not cooperate with the officers who wanted to question him. They warned him several times that if he did not obey the police, he could even end up in handcuffs. He repeatedly invaded their personal space, putting his hands into his pockets during the intervention when it was unclear whether he might have a weapon in them.
When he ignored the officer’s command for the umpteenth time, he was brought to the ground and handcuffed. The man continued to resist, and because there was a risk he could injure himself on the ground, the police had to hold him firmly until the arrival of the ambulance. A preliminary drug test came back negative. The Czech man then ended up in a sobering-up station. It later emerged that the man has hepatitis C and was intoxicated.
The police are investigating the entire case, including the original report of being threatened with a cleaver.
